‘Box of Binds stemmed from a personal interest in book binding, looking at the the detail and craft that can come alongside book creation. Eventually becoming an object, the process of the creation mainly focused on developing my own skill base and knowledge within binding.
Stemming from a love of both film and literature, this publication looks at the modern adaptation phenomenon. This work acts as both a repository of research and visual archive of imagery, to detail the film and book's relationship.
A concept project, that took the brand 'SUSMIES' and imagined a conceptual pop up presentation and magazine. Lookng through their slogan, the focus was to create the Grandma's trinket box of jewellery within the presentation. The magazine itself, took a more wide look at the brand's playful design and had fun with the audience's interaction with it.
Following a passion for book clubs, Mother! is the first iteration of a Women in Horror Film Club. Creating a brand that centers around community interaction for the love of film. This project consisted of generating a monthly newletter package, and branding visuals.
LACEY LACEY is a custom typeface completely handrendered, using lacemaking and crotchet to generate it's design. THe typeface comes together, as both a legible type and can be combined to recreate lace patterns. It has three iterations, including a solid, dotted and pixel based styles.
A publication that takes on the lack of recorded women's last words over the past centuries. Inspired through the film 'Looking for Alaska' initally, the publication takes an aim at permeance and archiving last words; this is an attempt to consider future records.
